Waking up...

This sunday we had the great surprise of waking up to this! The snow was still comming down in big fluffy flakes, and the whole world was covered in 4-6 in of white. What a lovely surprise... Since church had been canceled we took our time waking up, Matthew made us some delicious french toast, then lead us in some family worship. It was all so relaxing, and filled my heart with gratitude for all the many blessings God has given us.

"Sukiyaki"

Last night we went over to some friends and had "Sukiyaki" for dinner! mmm... I can still taste it, so so delicious. It was such a treat to eat such yummy Japanese food. Thanks so much to the coles! They returned from Japan just a few days ago and were really generous to share with us this Japanese goodness they brought home with them.

A beautiful shower

Yesterday I had the privilege of attending a most beautiful baby shower. A friend from church is about to give birth to a little boy AND a little girl! (yes, she is having twins:) A wonderful family of 5 about to grow to 7... It was a joy to celerbrate with her and many other women, praising God for these precious lives.

On our way home.

The snow has stuck around pretty well since the Ice/Snow storm we had last week, and only in the last couple of days has it melted. During the week or so that our world was covered in snow, we have seen some amazing sunsets! All on our way home from work... we have a beautiful drive no matter the weather, but the last week has been spectacular. The sun setting over the snowy hills, the colors reflecting off the ice and snow has been breath taking... (ofcourse this photo hardly does the real thing justice, but thought you might enjoy:)

Our little one...

Yesterday, Matthew and I had the joy of getting another sneek peek at our little one! It was an amazing 45 minutes of seeing our baby move around inside my belly. Every day we fall a little more in love. These last few weeks have been exciting, as we've BOTH been able to feel the little kicks, pokes and tumbles. (It is the MOST INCREDABLE feeling in the whole world! Yes a little weird, but totally wonderful, amazing and addictive.) God's creativity, His perfect plan blows us away... we are so thankful, and filled with praise for Him.

:: Romantic get away ::

This past weekend Matthew surprised me by taking us on a get away, to a beautiful bed and breakfast called The River'd Inn . It was quite and secluded, tucked away behind a gorgious river bend.

This is one of the 5 courses I ate for dinner!! A valentines special: The lovers lobster heart, and may very well have been the most delicious meal I have ever had!

An Icey Valentines...

Although it was icey and cold outside, Matthew and I had a lovely (warm and fuzzy) valentines day. We hope that you did too, and maybe had time to admire the splendor out doors :: Sending much love your way ::

More birthdays!

Birthdays really are alot of fun, especially when you share your birthday with one of your best friends! I have the honor and fun of sharing my birthday with Sarah Cole! It has become a little bit of a tradition to go out and celerbrate together with our husbands... so here we are this year at Bravo's. I hope that we will be able to keep this tradition for many more years!
