Australia Day!
Last friday, 26th of Jan, was Australia Day! I had the awesome privilege of going to a local school, and speaking to the kindergartners of Mr. Noll!! I had their attention for about 30min, in which I shared about the animals, the aboriginies, the cool money (it is very colorful), and our yummy food (I made them all vegemite sandwhiches!! the majority of the children loved them. maybe because we had just read a special story in which vegemite sandwhiches save the day, and Mr. Noll's enthusiastic "mmm... this is SO good!" ) It was great fun, when his class had to go on to their next class I felt like I could go around all the schools in Harrisonburg it was such fun. Thanks Eric for the wonderful oppurtunity to share with your kids!
:: Here I am showing the children a real kangaroo skin! As you can see they were mesmerized. Thanks to Sara-Beth for taking this photo and for being such a great help ::
Sneek Peek!
Here's a sneek peek of our little one! The doctors have given us 07/07/07 as the baby's due date, which would be pretty cool! not just for the 777, an awesome birth date to be sure, but it would be extra cool, because Matthew and I are also born on the 7th! (of different months, but still something I like to think about:) This ultra sound was taken at 10 weeks, and was absolutly incredible, as we could see everything, down to it's itsy bitsy little toes! He was waving his hands around like crazy and was an amazing thing to watch. A miracle indeed, we are praising God for His awesome power, and creativity.
:: We don't know the sex of the baby yet, and have decided to wait, keeping it a surprise till we meet him or her in person ::
On the way...
Matthew and I are blessed to announce that we have a BABY on the way! We have known now for quite a while, and felt like it was time to announce it officially. We are expecting our little one to arrive early July. ( I am currently 16 weeks pregnant, almost half way there!) We can't express enough how blessed we feel to have been given this gift and praise God daily for the miracle he is growing inside of me. We are so thankful and well, very VERY excited!!
A most beautiful wedding
About 2 weeks ago now, Matthew and I had the privilege of celerbrating the marriage of Jon and Margot Bass. It truly was a most beautiful wedding, not only because of it's aesthetics, but because of how God was glorified. You could see their love for Christ as they made Him the center of all they did. It was beuatiful to watch them celerbrate God's grace, as they gave themselves to each other as husband and wife.
To the top of Mt. Washington
This is Mt. Washington as I saw it while the men were making their way to the top. They left early in the morning, before I was even out of bed, and spent the whole day conquring this 6400 ft mountain. It is the tallest mountain in New Hampshire, and also holds the record for the fastest wind ever recorded by men: 231 mph!
As promised...
Our little Christmas tree! It is still up and probably will be for another week or so, I enjoy the lights so much.
